This sophisticated unit provides long-term recording and playback, with amazing clarity. The GE recorder has been modified to record up to 12 hours (6 hours per side) using a standard 120 minute cassette. The 12 hour recording system activates itself the moment the receiver is lifted to record both sides of the conversation when the phone is in use, automatically recording both outgoing and incoming calls. When handset is replaced, the recording stops. The resulting tape may be retained as a permanent record of all telephone conversations. This tape cannot be played on standard speed recorders.
